Fronius Takes Further Steps Towards Achieving 24 Hours of Sun

Fronius International GmbH is demonstrating how they are taking further steps towards achieving 24 hours of sun at the Intersolar 2014 trade show in Munich.

Fronius will be presenting the new SnapINverter generation of inverters, Fronius Galvo, Fronius Symo, Fronius Symo Hybrid, and one further product innovation at their 512 m2 (approx. 1600 ft2) trade show stand, from June 4 to 6. Innovations in the project inverter field, as well as MicroGrid and energy management solutions, highlight Fronius' culture of innovation.

"In 2014 we are again able to introduce numerous product innovations and solutions at the Intersolar trade show. Through this, we are now a significant step closer towards achieving our vision of energy supply in the future, 24 hours of sun," explains Martin Hackl, Head of the Solar Energy Division.

SnapINverter – Innovation Meets Universal Installation Process
The new Fronius inverter generation, the SnapINverters, covers a power spectrum of 1.5 kW to 20 kW. The universal inverter portfolio is extremely flexible and can be used for all purposes, whether a detached family house or a large plant. All SnapINverters are assembled and installed in the same way. Every task, at all stages of the process through to servicing, can be carried out simply and safely. System planning and monitoring are future-proof and user-friendly as standard. Fronius is presenting a new, single-phase SnapINverter at the Intersolar 2014 trade show for use in residential areas.

Fronius Symo Hybrid, the Individual Storage Solution
"24 hours of sun," Fronius' vision for the energy revolution, represents the future of energy supply in the coming decades according to Fronius. With the new inverter Fronius Symo Hybrid, Fronius is presenting the optimum storage solution as part of this vision.

The unused energy from a photovoltaic system is efficiently stored temporarily in a battery. A large quantity of the PV current produced during the day can also be used in the evening and overnight. In the case of a grid failure, the power supply is still maintained. The modular structure of the inverter enables the memory to be flexibly added to and expanded. The Fronius Symo Hybrid will become available during 2014.

Innovations in the Project Inverter Range
Fronius presents the new Fronius Agilo TL in the power categories 360 kVA and 460 kVA. The central inverter is ideally suited for use in large-scale systems. It has the positive attributes of simple installation, easy maintenance, and the highest yield. Transport and operating costs are kept to a minimum thanks to the smart system structure and compact dimensions. In addition, Fronius is introducing a new project inverter for industrial and large-scale systems, with extremely high yields, a compact, lightweight design, and simple service requirements.

MicroGrids – Save Fuel with Photovoltaics
MicroGrids are regional, self-contained, intelligent electricity distribution grids. In remote regions, these are usually operated using diesel generators. The fuel required for these generators is becoming increasingly expensive, while the price of PV systems is constantly decreasing. At the Intersolar trade show, Fronius will be presenting a solution that will save fuel and reduce costs.

Fronius Demonstrates an Energy Management Solution and Optimized System Monitoring
Fronius offers comprehensive energy management in collaboration with Loxone. When combined with a Fronius inverter, the miniserver-based home automation solution increases self-consumption and reduces costs. New functions in the DATCOM area, such as the direct linking of meters for feed-in management and visualization of consumption, ensure further optimization of the PV system monitoring.

We look forward to seeing you at our trade show stand in Hall B3, stand no B3.210.
