Lunera Lighting Introduces the Susan Lamp, the Industry's First True Plug-and-Play LED Replacement

The Simplest and most Cost Effective Solution to Convert an Existing Lighting Infrastructure to LED

Santa Clara, Calif., – April 23, 2014 – Lunera® Lighting, Inc., a leader in lighting innovations accelerating the transformation to advanced LED technology, today introduced the availability of the Susan Lamp family, adding to Lunera's leading-edge BallastLED lamp product portfolio. Lunera's BallastLED technology has created a new market segment for LED lamps. Innovative electronics integrated into the lamps enable them to operate directly off of existing ballasts, which make converting to LED easy and affordable.

The Susan Lamp family obsoletes 400, 250 and 175-watt metal halide lamps by bringing high-quality; energy-efficient LED light to a broad range of commercial and industrial applications. Throughout its 50,000-hour life, the Susan Lamp is designed to eliminate at least four lamp replacement cycles and deliver consistent light levels at a fraction of the power used by a metal halide lamp. Simple to install and valuable to own, the Susan Lamp eliminates the frustrations of rapid lumen depreciation, short life span, and excessive power consumption of the metal halide lamp it replaces.

"Our customers have made it very clear; when it comes to LED lighting, they are looking for products that are simple to install, reliable to operate, and valuable to own. Lunera's engineering team has delivered a remarkable innovation with the Susan Lamp. The elegance of its design makes converting to LED as easy as changing a light bulb," said Tom Quinn, Lunera vice president of sales and marketing. "With our plug-and play approach, we offer the lowest installed cost-per-watt saved of any LED high bay solution available in the market today," he added.
