Ecoppia's Water-free Utility-Scale Robotic Solar Panel Cleaning Solution Certified by JA Solar

Already commercially deployed, the Ecoppia E4 system helps solar parks deliver more energy, more efficiently

HERZELIYA, Israel, April 24, 2014 --

Ecoppia, an innovative developer of autonomous water-free solar panel cleaning solutions, announced today that JA Solar, a leading manufacturer of photovoltaic solar panels, has certified Ecoppia's solution for use on its solar panels. Ecoppia recently announced similar certification by Suntech Power. Additional certification processes are underway, with the aim of ensuring Ecoppia's market-wide compliance with the stringent standards of all major panel manufacturers.

Ecoppia's autonomous, water-free solar array cleaning solution, cost-effectively keeps photovoltaic panels at peak performance, even in the toughest desert conditions.

This enables solar parks to maximize energy output using neither water nor manual labor.

Pragmatic, cost effective and efficient, self-powered Ecoppia cleaning robots clean the entire park daily, use a microfiber and air flow cleaning system to remove 99% of dust, keeping panels at optimal production levels 24/7/365. Ecoppia's solution is rapidly deployed and fully remotely monitored and controlled.

JA Solar certified Ecoppia's solution based on extensive simulation, which tested the equivalent of 20 years of daily cleaning, following which no impact on panels was noted. This certification clears the way for the Ecoppia system to be installed on JA Solar panel arrays worldwide, and the company already has a pipeline of approximately 40MW of installations in parks with JA Solar panels.

"JA Solar demands the highest quality from our certified partners, much as our customers demand the highest quality from our products," said Narayanan Srinivasamohan, AVP of JA Solar. "We are pleased to certify Ecoppia's innovative solution, which complements and enhances our own product lines, and look forward to future cooperation with the company," he concluded.

"The certification from JA Solar, one of the world's most respected names in solar technology, further validates our core technology, which was designed to markedly enhance energy production with zero impact on solar panels," said Eran Meller, CEO of Ecoppia. "We look forward to bringing the benefits of our E4 solution to the many solar parks that have chosen JA Solar's market-leading panels" he concluded.
