Heraeus to Attend SNEC 8th (2014) International Photovoltaic Power Generation Conference & Exhibition

Market introduction of two news pastes for ultra-lowly doped emitter cells and announcement of new production site for front-side silver paste

SHANGHAI, China, May 7, 2014 -- The Heraeus Photovoltaics Business Unit will be attending the SNEC (2014) International Photovoltaic Power Generation Conference & Exhibition on May 20th through May 22nd, 2014. Heraeus will highlight several of its newest products, including the introduction of SOL9620 and SOL9621 Series of front-side metallization pastes, and a record cell efficiency performance from the use of Heraeus' PERC pastes. Heraeus will also announce a new production site for their front-side pastes.

"We view SNEC as the key annual event for the PV Industry and we are excited that it coincides with a couple of major announcement that we have for the PV Industry," says Andreas Liebheit, Global Manager of the Photovoltaics Business Unit. "Since the SNEC 2013, we have successfully integrated an acquisition into the PV Business Unit, developed two new front-side pastes that we believe will be industry leading for Ultra-LDE c-Si cells, and we will have a new manufacturing site in Asia before the end of the year."

Beyond these announcements, Heraeus will also feature its SOL325 Series of pastes for PERC cell designs. The Institute for Solar Energy Research Hamelin (ISFH) was able to produce a PERC cell will a record efficiency of 21.2% using the Heraeus SOL325 and SOL9610 Series pastes. Another featured paste for advanced cell designs will be their SOL9350 Series for n-Type cell designs. For back-side metallization, Heraeus will feature several series of pastes. The choices range from pastes for applications requiring reduced silver content for low cost to very high adhesion for robust applications.

Heraeus will also have a celebration at their booth on Tuesday, May 20th from 3:30pm – 5:30pm to celebrate the launch of their new products and the announcement of their new manufacturing location. Introducing RockIt Smart Slide

Introducing RockIt Smart Slide

Introducing RockIt Smart Slide - the ultimate solution for fast and easy installation of the rail-less RockIt racking system on composition shingle roofs. Smart Slide conforms to UL 441 and TAS 100 (A)-95 for wind and wind-driven rain, providing a super-strong watertight seal that is achieved through compression, in most cases without the need for additional sealant. The waterproofing sealant is embedded deep into the granules of the shingle, thanks to the integrated flexible foam layer that provides cushioning. This ensures a secure fit that conforms to any architectural-style shingle. With UltraGrip Technologyâ„¢, you can rely on a secure installation, as it absorbs the movement created by thermal expansion and contraction. The pre-installed sealing pads are compatible with all composition shingle roofs, making it the ideal choice, even in ambient temperatures as low as 5 degrees.
