Applied Energy Technologies (AET) Achieves UL 2703 Listing for Rayport™-G ECO Ground Mount System

AET enters South American market with 5MW installation of Rayport-G ECO

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MAUMEE, Ohio – August 13, 2014 – AET (Applied Energy Technologies), a preferred supplier of utility-scale racking systems and one of the world's top 10 solar racking companies, has received UL listing (to UL 2703, Issue 2) on its Rayport™-G ECO ground mount system. The Rayport-G ECO is rapidly becoming an industry standard for developers and Engineering Procurement and Construction contractors (EPCs) looking for a ground mounting system that is easy to install, scalable and available at a competitive price point.

AET is also pleased to announce that it has entered the South American market. Following a rigorous bidding and vetting process, its Rayport-G ECO was recently selected for a 5MW solar plant on a unique site in South America.

Aaron Faust, VP of Business Development at AET, said: "We see a huge opportunity for growth in Latin America. AET has focused resources in this region that will enable us to position our company as a leader there in the coming years."

In achieving its UL 2703 listing, the Rayport-G ECO has met strict industry standards for durability and electrical safety, and has undergone rigorous atmospheric and corrosion testing, including temperature and humidity cycling tests, and bonding path resistance tests. The Rayport-G ECO has been engineered to withstand the most challenging environmental conditions and fits all solar panels available on the market today. It is galvanized throughout for corrosion resistance and offers a single point connection to the system ground. The Rayport-G ECO is both light and compact, allowing for high shipping density, significantly reducing freight costs and enabling easier handling on the job site.

John Klinkman, VP of Engineering at AET, commented, "The Rayport-G ECO offers the strength, durability and quality that large scale developers and EPCs expect from AET's mounting solutions, while delivering a significant savings on total installed costs. We are committed to maintaining the highest quality and standards of our products to enable bankable projects."

Since the Rayport-G ECO has been available on the market, the system has been thoroughly vetted by some of the world's leading EPCs and developers and is currently being installed on multiple projects across the Americas. Flex-Core - Flexible Split-Core Current Transformer

The FCL model split-core current transformers have multiple benefits, including a flexible twisting motion for ease of application. Installing a split-core CT means there is no need to disconnect your primary conductor(s) which reduces downtime. Many customizations are available including extended secondary lead wire lengths, various outputs including 5A, 1A, 1VAC, and 0.333VAC, and custom rubber inserts to help center the CT and maintain accuracy. The FCL models can be used in applications up to 720VAC and have an operating frequency from 50Hz to 400Hz.
