CLEVELAND, Sept. 11, 2014 -- Beckett will launch its model 8124S Stand- Alone Lithium-ion Energy System at The Battery Show in Novi, MI September 16-18, 2014. The newest lithium-ion battery system from Beckett places the battery management system / controller and communications inside the battery module for a complete, independent energy storage system.

At 24Vdc and 1.1kWh of capacity, the model 8124S is perfect for applications where size and weight reduction and long life are important, yet the higher capacity of a large format battery is required. "Robotics, drones, autonomous underwater vehicles, buoy systems, and critical component backup power are just a few of the applications that can benefit from the long cycle life, high capacity and small footprint of the Stand-Alone Energy System," states Brad Moore of Beckett Energy Systems.
The internal battery management system measures the temperature, voltage and current of the module, ensures that individual cells in the module remain in balance, and will disconnect the lithium-ion battery if any conditions reach a fault state. State of charge is visible via an LED indicator, or can be communicated via serial data stream to a higher level control. Like Beckett's other advanced energy lithium-ion battery module, it is compliant with UN38.3 shipping criteria and can be shipped in single UN approved cartons by any transportation means.
