OPDE gain approval for new 10.8 MWp Solar Farm in UK

The solar farm will be located near the town of Crewkerne, Somerset---- The project forms part of OPDE's UK development pipeline of over 200 MW---- Construction is anticipated to commence in November 2014---- OPDE is on track to meet its objective of connecting 100 MW of photovoltaic capacity by March 2015

September 29, 2014. – OPDE, a multinational solar company specialising in the development, investment, construction and operation of solar photovoltaic plants, has obtained planning consent for a new 10.8 MWp solar farm located near the town of Crewkerne in Somerset (United Kingdom).


The planning approval consolidates OPDE's position in the UK PV market, adding to an active and successful development pipeline. In March 2014, OPDE successfully connected a 12 MWp solar farm located in Alresford, Hampshire, and construction works are due to start imminently on two further solar farms - a 7 MWp in Kent and a 9 MWp project in East Sussex.

In addition to this strong presence in the UK PV market, OPDE is also very active in the development, investment and operation of new solar farms in several markets across the world including, among others, Mexico and Brazil.
