SPI 2014 - ROTH Capital Partners to Host Solar Symposium at Solar Power International (SPI 14)

Leading Solar Power and Clean Technology Companies to Hold Fire-Side Chats and Investor Meetings

Solar Power International 2014

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.--ROTH Capital Partners (ROTH), www.roth.com, a full service investment bank focused on serving emerging growth companies and their investors, today announced that it will host a Solar Symposium and Booth Tours on Oct. 21-22, 2014 in Las Vegas, NV, in conjunction with the Solar Power International Conference and Expo (SPI 14), the largest annual solar conference/expo in the U.S.

This two-day invitation only event, co-located with SPI 14, will provide an opportunity for solar power industry executives, policy makers and key institutional investors to meet and exchange ideas about issues and trends in the solar and related industries. The event, which will be hosted by Jesse Pichel, Managing Director, Investment Banking, Cleantech and Industrial Growth, and Philip Shen, Senior Research Analyst, Cleantech, is expected to be widely attended.

According to Pichel, "2014 has been a particularly strong year for solar both internationally and in the U.S. As demand remains strong and costs continue to decline, we have seen the capital markets window re-open and an unprecedented string of consolidation." Shen stated, "This past year also clearly demonstrated the value public investors place in the retained value of the maturing solar asset class." Shen added, "We believe the symposium will provide useful insights on both fronts, while also providing greater clarity with respect to specific drivers including: 1) Demand trends in the Americas and Asia, 2) industry utilization and pricing, including polysilicon feedstock pricing trends, and 4) "YieldCo" investment pools dedicated to both residential and utility scale PV development. The symposium will also feature emerging private solar companies that may have an impact on the broader landscape in the long term."

The event includes booth tours during SPI 14, which will feature nearly 15.000 solar energy industry professionals, an industry keynote by Rhone Resch, President of Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), a special utility scale panel, and a feature presentation on the Japanese solar market. ROTH will also host fire-side chat presentations with solar companies and small group and one-on-one meetings with investors.

We believe this event will enable participants to efficiently meet companies throughout the entire solar value chain – polysilicon, wafer, cell, module, downstream developers, private companies, government officials and other industry experts – in one of the most important solar markets in the world.

Attendees will hear from today's leading solar power companies including:

Amtech Systems (ASYS)
Canadian Solar (CSIQ)
CBD Energy (CBDE)
