Equal Earth Acquires FOPCO, A Leading Construction and Specialty Environmental Services Company

Equal Earth announced that it has acquired Oahu-based FOPCO, a leading construction and environmental services company for an undisclosed amount. This latest acquisition supports Equal Earth's growth strategy, strengthens the company's management team and deepens the firm's public sector expertise.

SAN DIEGO, December 18, 2014 – Equal Earth today announced that it has acquired Oahu-based FOPCO, Inc., a leading construction and specialty environmental services company for an undisclosed amount. This latest acquisition supports Equal Earth's growth strategy, strengthens the company's management team and deepens the firm's public sector expertise. FOPCO brings 25 years as a licensed general engineering, building, plumbing, electrical and solar energy systems contractor and has worked extensively throughout the State of Hawaii and Pacific Basin.


With an established customer list that includes many large government organizations such as the US Army and US Navy, the FOPCO acquisition creates new synergies for the combined business. FOPCO has relationships with many federal government entities and as well as local authorities such as the City of Honolulu and Counties of Maui, Big Island and Kauai.

The transaction will provide customers with access to a comprehensive portfolio of construction and design and specialty environmental services. Services available to customers under one roof will encompass building design and construction, electrical and mechanical, high-efficiency power systems, LED lighting and solar photovoltaic systems.
