New York, NY – Feb. 27, 2015 – The New York State Smart Grid Consortium (NYSSGC), a public-private partnership devoted to statewide implementation of the smart grid, announced today that SolarCity, the nation's #1 rooftop solar power provider, has signed on as the Consortium's newest Associate Member. In an attempt to engage the many different stakeholders that are modernizing New York's electrical grid by improving reliability and resiliency, lowering long-term energy costs and working towards a cleaner energy system, the Consortium added an Associate Membership level last year.
