Partnership for Global Energy Transformation

LichtBlick Integrates Tesla Battery Storage Into Energy Markets

The energy and IT company LichtBlick and electric vehicle and battery manufacturer Tesla have entered into a global energy collaboration to intelligently integrate Tesla's new Powerwall Home Batteries into the energy market. Tesla CEO Elon Musk unveiled the innovative storage device in the early hours of Friday (CET) in Los Angeles. The Tesla Powerwall is particularly attractive for households, businesses and SMEs that want to optimize the use of their own solar power.

LichtBlick and Tesla will initially start their collaboration in Germany and the companies plan to expand their relationship to the EU, the USA, Australia and New Zealand. LichtBlick believes that the number of households and companies which generate and store electricity is set to increase sharply over the coming years.

"The new Tesla Powerwall represents a milestone, since powerful, affordable batteries are a key technology in the distributed energy revolution", said LichtBlick founder and CEO Heiko von Tschischwitz. "LichtBlick connects decentralized batteries to a powerful storage system. The optimized use of millions of installed batteries, outside of buildings as well, plays a key part in ensuring that decentralized energy shapes our energy supply system."

Using its unique SchwarmDirigent IT platform, the company links decentralized producers and storage systems and connects them to the energy markets. LichtBlick already operates a digital power plant in Germany with over a thousand decentralized units. Once linked to the cluster, Tesla Powerwall will be able to draw excess wind and solar power from the electricity network and then, during calm or cloudy periods, use this electricity in buildings or feed it back into the network. Consumers who integrate their batteries into the cluster will benefit from energy market revenues through LichtBlick.

GreenFasten™ solar panel roof mount hardware, watertight, USA made

The GreenFasten™ - GF1 system utilizes the patented watertight technology EcoFasten Solar® is known for. The flashing is fit with our EPDM rubber bushing and when used with a compatible EcoFasten Solar compression bracket (milled with countersink), a watertight seal is created, which protects the integrity of the roof. Requiring just a single fastener (lag bolt or self-drilling), GreenFasten provides the fastest install in the industry and will not void roofing manufacturer's warranties. Backed by IAPMO certification, GreenFasten delivers a mounting solution for all new or existing (retrofit) composition shingle roofs, and is the most cost-effective solution available. Like all of the solar roof mount solutions in our line of products, GreenFasten is made in the USA using recycled materials.
