ENER-G showcases biogas CHP innovation at UK AD & Biogas 2015

Biogas CHP expert ENER-G will demonstrate its anaerobic digestion technologies at a major UK industry conference and exhibition.

Birmingham, UK 27 May 2015

ENER-G will showcase its high efficiency biogas CHP innovations at UK AD & Biogas 2015 (1-2 July) at NEC, Birmingham.

Visitors will be able to find out more about ENER-G's latest E-200 system, which maximises Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) and Feed in Tariff (FIT) payments on small scale anaerobic digestion. The new technology, which has been shortlisted for a British Renewable Energy award, opens up the benefits of anaerobic digestion (AD) to a wider customer base, particularly smaller farms and dairies, as well as industrial processors.

The E-200 provides a thermal output of 195kWth (qualifying for the highest rate RHI of 7.5p per kWth), together with an electrical output of 205kWe (qualifying for FITs at the highest rate of 10.13p per kWh) - at a total efficiency rating of 77.1%.

For the first time in the UK market, ENER-G has combined an unmatched heat output of 40.7% efficiency without compromising on high electrical efficiency of 37.6%. The high heat efficiency is critical in boosting RHI returns to bridge the shortfall from dwindling FIT rates due to digression.

ENER-G has manufactured, installed and operates in excess of 170 MW of biogas power generation from anaerobic digestion, wastewater, landfill and associated gases. The company is a leading specialist in biogas utilisation, with a number of AD projects in operation within farming, food and drink, dairy and municipal waste sectors. Its award winning technologies are powering renewable energy AD projects at North British Distillery, Nestle and BV Dairy

The company also has vast experience of generating high value power and heat from sewage, including its 4.5 MWe biogas cogeneration system at the Budapest wastewater treatment plant and numerous CHP wastewater projects in partnership with UK water companies.

ENER-G is a UK business providing a complete end-to-end biogas generation service. With its in-house design, engineering, manufacturing and service teams, the company can meet the most complex customer briefs within tight timescales and budgets.
