New local energy partnership brings innovative solar tracker to North Carolina

A new partnership will bring the innovative AllEarth Solar Tracker solar electric system to homeowners and businesses throughout North Carolina.

RALEIGH, NC. . . . August 18, 2015 . . . A new partnership will bring the innovative AllEarth Solar Tracker solar electric system to homeowners and businesses throughout North Carolina.

The dealer partnership between local installer NC Solar Now, Inc. and solar tracker manufacturer AllEarth Renewables was announced today.

The first solar tracker installed by NC Solar Now was commissioned in July in Yadkinville, NC.

With an office in Raleigh, NC Solar Now is a leading North Carolina residential solar installer. NC Solar Now provides full service solar installation, design, engineering, and energy efficiency systems for homes and businesses throughout North Carolina.

Designed and manufactured in Williston, VT, AllEarth Solar Trackers use innovative GPS and wireless technology to follow the sun throughout the day to boost solar energy production by up to 45 percent over roof-top installations. The ground-mounted solar systems are designed for homes, businesses, non-profits, and commercial-scale installations.

A single solar tracker will produce enough to power most of an average home in the region.

"We are committed to meeting the growing needs of our customers and the AllEarth Solar Tracker is a brilliant and welcome addition to our installation options. More and more people in North Carolina are excited about creating their own source of energy and with the AllEarth Tracker they can optimize their solar production for a quicker return on investment," said Steve Nicolas, president of NC Solar Now.
"We are excited to be partnering with the team at NC Solar Now and for them to be able to offer our product to more customers throughout North Carolina. Designed to produce more energy from the sun, our trackers make solar practical and affordable for homeowners and businesses," said David Blittersdorf, president and CEO of AllEarth Renewables.

Among its product awards, the dual axis tracker was named a "Top-10 Green Product" by BuildingGreen magazine and "Top Product of the Year" by Solar Power World.

AllEarth Renewables, a 2012 Inc 500 company for fastest growing businesses, has designed, manufactured, and installed over 3,200 complete grid-connected solar tracker systems.

Easy monitoring with weather sensors from Lufft

Easy monitoring with weather sensors from Lufft

Professional weather sensors form the heart of large solar plants supporting their operation and performance. Lufft was the first manufacturer to combine several sensors in one housing, bringing the largest multiparameter weather sensor family with 19 members into being. Many of them are well-suited for solar site assessment and continuous monitoring. The most commonly used one is the WS600 delivering data on temperature, air pressure, wind, relative humidity and precipitation. Through its open protocol, it can easily be attached to radiation sensors e.g. from Kipp&Zonen. Other models have an integrated Silicon, Second Class or Secondary Standard radiation sensor.
