This time next week exhibitors from 14 countries will be getting their stands ready at Glasgows Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC) in anticipation of the opening on Wednesday morning (4 May) of All-Energy 2016, the UKs largest renewable energy exhibition.

In preparation for being in Glasgow for two action-packed days, visitors will be preparing themselves by making maximum use of the All-Energy App that helps them plan their time at the show meet up with other visitors and with exhibitors. Like all elements of All-Energy - major exhibition, multi-stream conference and Giant Networking Evening these are free of charge. Online registration is at www.all-energy.co.uk

"We are looking forward to two busy, stimulating and highly productive days," says Event Director, Jonathan Heastie of organisers, Reed Exhibitions. "The facts and figures speak for themselves. Over Wednesday 4 and Thursday 5 May All-Energy will, as ever, attract thousands of business and professional visitors from home and overseas aiming to find the latest technologies and services; gain expert advice; and, above all, to do business.

"Our All-Energy mobile App is designed to help all attending the show to plan their visit effectively enabling them to find suppliers, navigate the exhibition floor, plan conference and seminar attendance, and to arrange meetings with industry suppliers and colleagues. It can be downloaded free of charge from the App Store and from Google Play. We are confident that it will enable all who attend to maximise their time with us."

All-embracing conference programme
Moving to the features of the show Jonathan Heastie homes in first on the conference: "Under one roof we have a free-to-attend 12-track conference and seminar programme with well over 450 speakers who between them will deliver 120 hours of outstanding insight, and no doubt, ensure that lively discussion and debate follows. They include such luminaries as ScottishPowers Keith Anderson; Professor Sir Jim McDonald of Strathclyde University and co-chair of the Scottish Energy Advisory Board; Atlantis Resources CEO Tim Cornelius; DONG Energys, Benj Sykes; Ronnie Quinn of The Crown Estate; Tom Greatrex of the Nuclear Industry Association; Professor Peter Fraenkel, with a specific challenge for the tidal stream industry; Earnell Kelly of Doosan Fuel Cell America; Alan Cumming of Viridor; and several senior members of the UK Green Investment Bank.

"In line with Scottish Government aims, the conference will be looking at both energy supply and end use; and, at local energy strategy; and includes sessions devoted to heat, transport and community energy in all its guises; and so much more! I can only urge you to look at the online programme to see what a rich diet awaits you," he adds.

Packed exhibition with new zones
Next, Jonathan Heastie looks forward to the major exhibition: "Our exhibitors come from Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Indonesia, Italy, Lithuania, The Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, USA and all parts of the UK and in all some 400 companies, as both stand holders and their sharing companies, will be exhibiting products and services relevant to all forms of renewable generation; energy efficiency and energy management; and the needs of sustainable and smart cities. This year we have two new zones of the exhibition floor - one on heat; and the other on energy storage."

The fifteen sector-specific trails around the exhibition are designed to help visitors find the exhibits of particular interest to them. The All-Energy website at www.all-energy.co.uk not only carries the full conference / seminar programme and exhibitor list, but also divides the exhibitors into those sector trails; as well as by exhibitor category and product category, meaning that even before reaching the show, visitors can easily determine who they specifically want to see.
