25th anniversary of principal power industry event to provide expert insight

POWER-GEN Europe and Renewable Energy World Europe 2017, the leading conference and exhibition for the international power and renewable industries, has today unveiled two stand-out keynote speakers. The milestone 25th anniversary event is taking place at the Koelnmesse in Cologne from the 27 - 29th June 2017 and more speakers will be announced in the coming weeks.

Francesco Venturini, CEO and General Manager, Enel Green Power, and Kristian Ruby, Secretary General, EURELECTRIC will be setting the scene of the conference. On the first day of the show, the two guests will present the joint opening keynote session, which will cover key themes such as digitalisation, energy storage and cyber security.

The two highly regarded power experts will be addressing the core theme of this year's show, which is: ‘making sense of power' as Europe's power sector redesigns itself in the digital age.

"We are honoured that these industry leading speakers will be taking part in this year's forum," states Nigel Blackaby, POWER-GEN Europe Conference Director. "Venturini's leadership in key energy companies, combined with Ruby's experience in European politics will provide a cutting-edge session on the industry's most and debatable and timely topics."

"With Europe's rapidly evolving power sector and digitalisation at the heart of this energy transition, our topical content will cover both challenges and opportunities of the future. The keynote sessions will offer attendees an exclusive insight into the minds of two of the industry's experts to gain an understanding of the forever evolving power sector."

LG Solar Unveils NeON R with Enhanced Aesthetics and Energy Savings

The NeON R module features "Back Contact" cell technology delivering an entirely black panel that is aesthetically pleasing and energy efficient. The cell's seamless, surface blends perfectly into nearly all rooftop designs while the module's electrodes are positioned on the rear of the cell. Using LG's N-type cell structure, the panels produce 365W of energy, up to 7.3kWp, compared to 5.8kWp of the p-type cell. The module's new design minimizes LID, thereby delivering a longer lifespan and increased energy output.
