Natural Power's Director of Operations and Asset Management, Euan Fenelon, will be chairing the OFTO*/Transmission Asset workshop at the Offshore Wind Europe Conference which takes place on 14th and 15th November in London. *Offshore Transmission Owner

Alistair Parlett, High Voltage Systems Manager at Natural Power; Chris Veal, Managing Partner at Transmission Investment LLP and John Sinclair, Development Director - Power Transmission and Distribution at Balfour Beatty, will join Euan in hosting the workshop as part of the post-construction track in room 2 at 11.10hrs-11.45hrs on day one.

The workshop aims to:
• Promote an understanding of the practical considerations for preparing a control room to support OFTO projects, and the key responsibilities under transmission system codes and standards
• Review the challenges of up-skilling staff to deal with dynamic 24/7 HV operations and potential issues around alarm management
• Discuss what the requirements are for deployment of competent field staff and how the application of safety rules to OFTO projects can be optimised
• Review typical faults and recurrent issues
