February 10th BTEC Webinar Explores Biomass Residuals, CHP Technologies

The Biomass Thermal Energy Council will hold an educational webinar on biomass combined heat and power technologies at 1PM ET on February 10, 2015. The webinar, "Biomass Residuals to Combined Heat and Power: An exploration of distributed generation technologies and experiences" is free to attend.

For wood residuals large and small, combined heat and power (CHP) from waste biomass is an economic and proven means of waste elimination. The benefits are indisputable: distributed biomass shrinks the radius to acquire and transport fuel sources, and can eliminate the costs of transporting and landfilling biomass waste streams.

Join this February 10th webinar at 1PM ET from the Biomass Thermal Energy Council (BTEC) and hear from three companies about their experiences in generating heat and electricity from biomass residuals: ElectraTherm, Air Burners, and American Bio Boilers.

First, ElectraTherm will address the benefits of distributed biomass power for applications such as transfer stations, solid wood waste from utility line clearing and local arborists, forest clearing for fire prevention, forest restoration, and even livestock waste gasification.

Second, Air Burners, Inc. will review air curtain technology and how it can be combined with ORC power generation technology to enable the lowest environmental impact, lowest cost method of disposal for large quantities (tons/hr) of woody biomass.

Finally, American Bio Boiler, Inc. will discuss biomass boiler and power generation turnkey systems that utilize smaller waste wood (up to 4" pieces).

The session will close with a Question & Answer session facilitated by BTEC Chairman Dan Wilson, VP of Wilson Engineering Services.
