5 states and 7,000+ kms on a solar powered electric bicycle to raise solar awareness
Swedish solar energy expert Midsummer receives repeat order for a DUO thin film solar cell manufacturing system after exceeding efficiency specifications at acceptance test
The repeat order was placed after a successful "Acceptance Test" done in the end of 2015 where Midsummer's DUO system exceeded the promised efficiency specification with over 1 percentage point. Due to a strong demand for lightweight, flexible modules the customer decided to buy another DUO manufacturing system, which will be delivered in the end of 2016.
Statoil will monitor the condition of the turbine using the EmPower system, and evaluate its functionality to discover early signs of fault, and calculate remaining lifetime for main components.
The new manufacturing facility, located in the Economic Development District of Xingtai city, has an annual capacity of 1.5 GW with fully automated assembly lines using the latest module manufacturing technologies.

Hornsea One will be the world's first offshore wind farm to exceed 1,000 MW.
Together with groSolar, Marathon Capital developed materials to present groSolar's strategic business plan to the market. Marathon Capital then conducted a comprehensive process to explore financial and strategic investor interest in partnering with groSolar to further accelerate its growth in the distributed marketplace and was pleased to help facilitate the transaction between two strongly aligned players with a great strategic fit.
Connecticut Municipal Electric Energy Cooperative and SolarCity Install Solar and Energy Storage Portfolio in the Northeast
Projects totaling 13 megawatts of solar and 6 megawatt hours of storage, SolarCity's largest such installation in the Northeast, will provide clean, dispatchable power when needed most
SolarCity's new services include installation, financing, and consulting services for utility-scale solar and energy storage resource development, as well as advanced controls for demand response, distributed energy resources, and aggregated grid services.
• China's installed wind power capacity will more than treble from around 149 Gigawatts (GW) in 2015 to over 495 GW by 2030, at a compound annual growth rate of 9% • Supportive government policies that include an attractive concessional program and the availability of low-cost financing from government banks are the main reasons for market success, says analyst
Solar panel prices extend losses this week, as Chinese module makers leverage price competition intensively over the globe, especially in the US. Amid waning demand in China, some Chinese module maker is rush to increase the shipment volume in rest of the world, particularly in the US, in order to be the dominant module manufacturer. Since the demand in the US is widely expected to be promising in the coming five years, Chinese module makers has been aiming the US as one of the major target market to penetrate with their overseas capacities. Hence, solar panel price in the US has encountered great pressures, as Chinese module makers fuel strategic pricing intensively in the region. Meanwhile, in China, SEA and India, the regional prices are under pressured as Chinese module makers also intend to leverage price competition to capture more market shares.

Solar & Wind - Featured Product
In the monitoring of large photovoltaic (Utility Scale), in assessing potential sites (Solar-assessment), or in up and coming electricity cost saving initiatives projects (Commercial & Industrial), the WS510 now provides the market a secondary standard pyranometer, ultrasonic wind speed, ultrasonic wind direction, temperature, pressure and humidity all in a single unit.. This sensor meets the high demands of the world meteorological organization (WMO) through the active valving at air temperature measurement and the inertia- and maintenance-free measurement of wind speed and wind direction on the ultrasonic principle. Equipped with a Kipp & Zonen pyranometer of the secondary standards, the WS510-UMB Compact weather sensor from Lufft unites the precision of a variety of meteorological individual sensors in a single all-in-one device, for the first time.
