MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD AT ALL-ENERGY 2018: CALL FOR PAPERS PUBLISHED

All forms of on- and offshore renewable energy generation and other related topics will once again come under the conference spotlight at All-Energy 2018. Next May's show is the 18th in the annual series. The UK's largest renewable and low carbon energy exhibition and conference will be held at Glasgow's SEC on Wednesday 2 - Thursday 3 May 2018.

All forms of on- and offshore renewable energy generation and other topics including energy efficiency; low carbon heat and heat networks; energy storage; community and local energy; renewables for the farming/landowning community; decentralised energy; energy systems; grid-related issues; sustainable cities; CCS and much more will once again come under the conference spotlight at All-Energy 2018. Next May's show is the 18th in the annual series, and the UK's largest renewable and low carbon energy exhibition and conference will be held at Glasgow's SEC on Wednesday 2 - Thursday 3 May 2018.

The Call for Papers has now been published and is online at www.all-energy.co.uk and abstracts (300-word summaries) on proposed presentations are invited on a long list of topics which can be found on the website. There is a deadline of 14 December for submissions.

"We are eager to hear from a wide range of experts in response to the Call for Papers; we want to hear their voices and their opinions at All-Energy 2018," says All-Energy's Event Director, Jonathan Heastie of organisers Reed Exhibitions. "Our free-to-attend conference provides the 7,500 attendees with the opportunity to soak up information on all forms of renewable and low carbon energy as well as attend an extremely busy exhibition crammed full of innovative technology and expert advice. Indeed, nearly 50% of our visitors in 2017 attended at least one conference session.

"We are eager to replicate the quality of this year's programme which saw packed conference rooms, and for that we need all involved with the industry we serve to take the Call for Papers seriously and submit their summaries and opinions about who they would like to hear speak."

All-Energy exhibition
The All-Energy exhibition is tracking well against last year and expected to grow with confirmed exhibitors on board including 2G Energy, Ansys UK, Centrica, the Danish Board of District Heating (DBDH), DNV GL Energy, Elan Cables, Enercon, EWT, Gilkes, Highlands & Islands Enterprise, Marine Scotland, Nordex, Schneider Electric, Scottish & Southern Energy Power Distribution, Scottish Enterprise, Scottish Natural Heritage, Senvion, Smartest Energy, Thrive Renewables, Triodos Bank, Vestas, Wood Group Clean Energy and ZephIR Lidar demonstrating the breadth of the show.

"There is no doubt that the launch of the UK Government's Clean Growth Strategy and the knowledge that the Scottish Government's Energy Strategy will be published before long have given an added sense of optimism to our exhibitors," says Jonathan Heastie.

"Each year we produce a veritable one-stop shop, bringing together all elements of the industry in the exhibition, multi-stream conference, seminar theatres, Power Club Lounge, 1-2-1 Meet the Buyers share fair, and at our Giant Networking Evening which will, once again, be at the Glasgow Science Centre.

"Our policy of free entry to the exhibition, conference and Giant Networking Evening continues; as does support from a host of trade associations and professional bodies; and an impressive media partners roll call.

"The buzz that All-Energy always engenders, and the sense of busy-ness in the exhibition halls and packed conference rooms are there for you to use to the full, so now's the time to put the dates in your diary and make your commitment to join us as an exhibitor, sponsor, speaker, visitor or journalist. We look forward to seeing you at SEC Glasgow in early May next year!"

Looking back
All-Energy 2017 was held in May 2017 at the SEC. It attracted 7,570 from home and overseas; well over 300 exhibiting companies from 16 countries; some 400 speakers in all parts of the 100+ hours multi-stream conference; and well over a thousand attendees at the Giant Networking Evening.

Speakers in the opening plenary session included Scotland's First Minister Nicola Sturgeon MSP, and hearing from industry luminaries including Keith Anderson of ScottishPower and ScottishPower Renewables, Prof Jim Watson of UKERC and Julian Leslie of National Grid, under the watchful eye of the session chair, Strathclyde University's Prof Sir Jim McDonald; and the Day 2 looked at the effect Brexit might have on the industry. After both plenary sessions the conference split into 10 parallel streams.

Information on exhibiting, sponsorship packages, and accommodation at special rates (negotiated by the Glasgow Marketing Bureau), as well as the Call for Papers is all online at www.all-energy.co.uk; and at www.smarturbanmobilitysolutions.com for the co-located Smart Urban Mobility Solutions (SUMS) exhibition and conference.
