Booth #6 - Enphase will be talking about and setting the stage for grid-agnostic solar with Enphase Ensemble™ technology. Installers will be introduced to the core concepts around microgrid technology.

Q&A with Enphase, The NABCEP Continuing Education Conference

Contributed by | Enphase Energy

Your company will be presenting at NABCEP CE Conference, what is it that makes this an important event for your company? NABCEP allows us to introduce a large number of solar installation professionals to grid-agnostic home solar.

Microgrids used to mean complicated specialty systems with extensive and incremental wiring schemes, but Enphase Ensemble changes all that. Ensemble-based products are being designed to make grid-agnostic solar much simpler, and this training conference is the ideal location to go into depth about what that means for installers in the field. What can an attendee to your presentation expect to learn this year?

Enphase Training Manager, Peter Lum, will hold a training session titled ‘Design and Specification of Grid Agnostic Enphase Ensemble™ Systems’.

Any new or recently released products you will be showcasing?

Enphase will be talking about and setting the stage for grid-agnostic solar with Enphase Ensemble™ technology. Installers will be introduced to the core concepts around microgrid technology.

When you get a chance to walk the exhibit hall floor yourself, what is it you will be most interested to see?

Microgrids are undergoing the transition from niche to mainstream, and we are looking forward to seeing what companies are doing to make the technology more available to the 1.6 billion members of the human race who currently live without electricity AND improving the lives of the more fortunate among us.

How about Panel sessions, do you intend to sit in on any of these this year?

Enphase CTO, Martin Fornage will be on the “Evolving Grid Independent Systems” panel session to talk about how the dynamics of solar will change with the advent of new solar technologies.

When you book for an event like this what are your expectations and what does your company hope to accomplish at the event?

With Enphase Ensemble technology, Enphase is taking the concept of microgrid into the mainstream. At NABCEP 2019 we intend to deliver the concepts behind how to set up a fully autonomous self-islanding grid-agnostic solar system with upcoming Ensemble products. Naturally, we are also always interested in talking to solar installation companies who have not yet made the switch from legacy technologies to software-defined microinverters.
