WHO WE ARE
The National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) is the voice of the $170 billion industry responsible for lighting, power, and communication systems in buildings and communities across the United States. NECA advances the electrical contracting industry through advocacy, education, research, and standards development.
The Southern Sierras Chapter of NECA is dedicated to enhancing our local industry through continuing education, industry and legislative updates, promotional activities, and the maintenance of sound labor relations with our partners, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. We are the voice of the electrical contracting industry, working to promote higher standards, quality workmanship and training for a skilled workforce.
Working for a brighter future for the industry, NECA is a co-sponsor of the IBEW-NECA Electrical Training Alliance for the electrical industry, which trains more than 25,000 electrical apprentices and is the sole source of significant in-service training for journeyman electricians.
The Southern Sierras Chapter of NECA represents the interests of all electrical contracting firms who are signatory to collective bargaining agreements with IBEW Local Union #440 (Riverside County) and IBEW Local Union #477 (San Bernardino, Inyo, and Mono Counties).

Southern Sierras NECA offers both in-person and virtual educational events throughout the year on topics relevant to your business. Sample types of classes offered at a discount to NECA members include, basic and advanced estimating classes, foreman training classes, continuing education for business owners on new markets, construction accounting, leadership, succession planning, and more.
