ARLINGTON, Wash., April 5, 2005 - OutBack Power Systems, Inc., a leader in cutting edge power conversion equipment, is excited to announce that the GVFX3648 grid-interactive inverter/charger has been added to the California Energy Commission eligible equipment list-having achieved a certified operating efficiency of 91%.

Effective April 1st, eligibility of grid-tie inverters for the CEC's Emerging Renewables Program is dependent upon re-certification under new efficiency guidelines. OutBack has chosen to have the GVFX3648 inverter/charger re-certified due to its overwhelming popularity amongst installers and home owners in California. Achieving the impressive 91% efficiency certification was done while producing a product category leading 3,037 watts of power at 40º C. The new PS1-3000 grid-interactive solar electric with battery back-up system is simultaneously certified because of its incorporation of the GVFX3648.
