CLEANTECH VENTURE NETWORK LAUNCHES CLEANTECH EUROPE

Organization Names Sixteen Founding Investor Members; Cleantech Venture Forum VII to be held in Paris, May 17-19

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Howell, MI - April 25, 2005 - Cleantech Venture Network LLC, an organization that connects private equity, corporate and institutional investors with "clean technology" entrepreneurs, announced today the launch of Cleantech Europe, and the organization's first European event, Cleantech Venture Forum VII, to be held next month at the Intercontinental Hotel in Paris, May 17-19.

"While Europe has always provided the cleantech segment with strong public support and world-class technology, private equity investment in this area has lagged behind North America. With the combination of rising commodity prices, including oil, along with declining returns derived from traditional private equity investment categories, now is the time to begin building a vibrant cleantech venture community in Europe," said Nicholas Parker, co-founder and chairman of Cleantech Venture Network LLC. "We are delighted to announce the sixteen founding investor members of Cleantech Europe who will also comprise our distinguished European Advisory Board. With their support we are also excited to introduce our successful Forum series to Europe."

"CDC Entreprises-FP Gestion believes cleantech is the emerging segment to watch for long-term investors here in Europe and around the world," said Olivier Dupont, Directeur Général Délégué, CDC Entreprises-FP Gestion. "Cleantech Europe's founding members and advisory board includes some of the top financial institutions in Europe, including emerging investment leaders in the cleantech space. We all look forward to a successful introduction of Cleantech Europe to the European market."
