Renewable Energy Conference in Thailand

POWER GENERATION FROM RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES- THE WAVE OF THE FUTURE

To increase global energy security in the long-term, we must move now to rapidly expand the development and deployment of renewable energy technologies.

Today, this belief is echoed by all governments of SE Asia where Renewable Energy is very much a top priority.

By attending the "Thai International Renewable Energy Conference and Exhibition 2005" you can learn how Thailand and other Asian countries are dealing with the problem of fossil fuel dependence.

You'll also learn how global economic development is hampered by this dependence and what is being done to overcome this obstacle worldwide.

The conference will be presided over by the Ministry of Energy and attended by some 200 members of industry, together with government and research institutions. The overall objective is to provide the Thai business community (and neighbouring countries) with technical and economic knowledge regarding existing renewable energy sources. The conference will serve as a platform to develop new business opportunities in this important area - the wave of the future.

The conference is being held in conjunction with Entech Pollutec which will be staged at the BITEC Exhibition Center in Bangna, Bangkok from July 7 -10. The conference will take place on July 8, beginning at 9:00 with a keynote address by HE Mr Viset Choopiban, Minister of Energy. It will continue until 5:30 with coffee breaks and luncheon provided. The program will be divided into several sections and cover topics such as Biomas, Hydrogen Fuel Cells and Micro Hydro Power. A panel discussion on "How to Overcome Barriers to Renewable Energy Utilization in Thailand" will also be conducted.
