Hydrogen Expo US 2007: More than 90 exhibitors, one shared vision

Show Preview

More than 90 organizations from around the world share one vision: to combat climate change with clean, reliable, affordable hydrogen and fuel cell technology. On March 19 to 21, 2007 Hydrogen Expo US agains opens its doors to showcase the latest and most exciting products and projects at the Henry B. Gonzalez Center in San Antonio, Texas. Hydrogen Expo US is held as part of the National Hydrogen Association's (NHA) Annual Hydrogen Conference, which takes place for the 18th time and has become the leading forum for this growing industry.

The largest Expo ever:

The 2007 Hydrogen Expo US will be the largest ever, with a more than 25% increase in exhibit space compared to last year. Ninety-six exhibitors from nine countries are signed up to present their solutions for a greener energy future in the exhibit hall. "Over 50% of our exhibitors offer products and solutions for renewable energy supply", says Dr. Ines Freesen, Managing Director of Hydrogen Expo US organizer Freesen & Partner GmbH. "And I would expect that when asked an even larger number, if not all, of the exhibitors would call themselves renewable energy companies. They all share the same vision for environmentally-friendly hydrogen-based energy."

Exhibitors from around the world:

This year, for the first time Hydrogen Expo US features a Hydrogen-from-Renewables Pavilion with four exhibitors: NanoLogix, Powertech Labs, ecotality and Sandia National Laboratories. "We expect this pavilion to grow in future years", comments Freesen. "Additionally, exhibitors such as Ballard or Proton Power Systems, whose products integrate easily with renewable energy technologies, will have individual displays."

Another first is the participation of the Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Network North Rhine-Westfalia, the leading German state in the promotion of clean energy technology development and commercialization. The network brings seven manufacturers and research facilities from Germany to Hydrogen Expo US: Andreas Hofer Hochdrucktechnik, Gebr. Becker, Forschungszentrum Juelich, Graebener Maschinentechnik, GSR Ventiltechnik, IMI Norgren Buschjost, and Voss Automotive.

Seven is also the number of participants on the Hydrogen-from-Nuclear Pavilion, which features Areva, GE Energy, General Atomics, Idaho National Laboratories, Nuclear Energy Institute, Savannah River National Laboratory, and Westinghouse Nuclear.

Exhibitors at Hydrogen Expo US further include: Air Products, Areva, BMW, California Fuel Cell Partnership, Chevron Technology Ventures, Connect to Conneticut, DaimlerChrysler, H2moves.eu, Honda, Hydrogen Power, Hydrogenics, Linde, Praxair, Shell Hydrogen, South Carolina Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Alliance, Southwest Research Institute, Toyota, and many more.

Free educational seminars:

In addition to the Conference sessions available to registered delegates, free seminars offering hands-on information on new products, projects and initiatives are held inside the Expo hall. The Hydrogen Expo US Exhibitor Seminar Forum is open to all conference delegates and expo-only visitors on March 20 and 21, with presentations running from 10.30am to 4.00pm daily.
