New Eco Rap Video Encourages People to Take Action Against Climate Change

Video Promotes Tree Planting to Grow the World an Afro! PATT Foundation, a UK charity, today launched the release of Go With Da Fro - an eco rap video animation highlighting deforestation and climate change issues with the message to PLANT MORE TREES.

Bangkok, 03 May 2007 - PATT Foundation, a UK charity, today launched the release of Go With Da Fro - an eco rap video animation highlighting deforestation and climate change issues with the message to PLANT MORE TREES.

The Plant-A-Tree-Today Foundation, or PATT, is a non profit that funds reforestation programmes, provides environmental education and tackles climate change by restoring natural forests.

"Go With Da Fro aims to grab the attention of young people through this lighthearted look at environmental issues. The video challenges people who care about our natural environment to make a difference as individuals by doing something for this cause, like plant a tree today to grow the world an afro of trees," said Andrew Steel, PATT Founder.

The video also features the 'Al-Gore-Rhythm' providing tips on actions we can all take to reduce our carbon footprint.

"…we've got to strike a balance between man-made forces
And our planet's limited and precious natural resources"…
…"We can't reverse all bad effects of human evolution,
But we can all play a part in an eco-revolution"

The video delivers a timely message as the UNIPCC meets in Bangkok to work on strategies to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Deforestation accounts for between 20-30% of man-made CO2 emissions; reducing this and reforesting the world, or giving it an 'afro' of trees is the goal of the PATT Foundation.

The song is performed by the Rapping Professor and the video produced by 4B Network.
