EnergyWatch to Provide "Green" Power at Buildings NY June 27-28

The Buildings NY Show will be made carbon neutral whereby carbon emissions generated by the show, including related emissions due to travel by its attendees, will be offset by EnergyWatch, via a donation for wind energy and reforestation.

NEW YORK, NY June 13) - - - BuildingsNY, the event for residential and commercial buildings, plants and facilities, will be 'green' at the upcoming event at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, New York, NY on June 27-28th, thanks to EnergyWatch Inc., a New York-based full service utility rate consulting firm serving clients since 2000. The Buildings NY Show will be made carbon neutral whereby carbon emissions generated by the show, including related emissions due to travel by its attendees, will be offset by EnergyWatch, via a donation for wind energy and reforestation.

EnergyWatch Inc. will have a booth on the Buildings NY show floor to impart information to buildings professionals on the many ways that they too, can adopt green and alternative energy sources. EnergyWatch will be in Booth #267.

In addition, BuildingsNY has formed an alliance with the United States Green Buildings Council (USGBC) to assist them, as well as the New York chapter, in communicating the New York buildings marketplace in the USGBC's goal of advancing its mission of transforming the building industry to sustainability. BuildingsNY will be offering a series of educational sessions conducted by USGBC featuring the USGBC's LEED for Existing Buildings and LEED for General Contractors/Construction Managers.

BuildingsNY will feature an Energy & Green Buildings Pavilion, sponsored by New York House magazine, to provide easy product sourcing opportunities for buildings professionals. Here, all of the products and materials that reduce expense through green building techniques and products will be featured. To date, over 68 companies are participating including: Benjamin Moore; Wausau Paper; Con Edison; Sherwin Williams; Trane New York; and Constellation NewEnergy.
