Unirac Inc., North America's leading manufacturer of solar photovoltaic (PV) mounting solutions, today announced the launch of their newly improved RapidRac G10 PV Mounting solution for flat roof commercial systems. This latest release from Unirac reflects their ongoing commitment to installers to optimize the performance of their industry-leading technology, while reducing installation costs.

The RapidRac system combines innovative technology with value engineering to optimize the original system design; resulting in less ballast requirements, significant savings, faster installation times, minimal penetrations and quicker permitting. With minimal parts and only one tool required for installation, RapidRac is one of the fastest, easiest and most cost-effective flat roof solutions on the market today.

"We are committed to working closely with our customers to ensure we deliver a solution that meets and exceeds their requirements, every time," said Douglas May, Unirac CEO. "We are pleased to provide our customers with an enhanced RapidRac system that delivers on their top priorities, while offering them cost savings at the same time."

The improvements of the RapidRac system make it one of the fastest flat roof solutions to install on the market today. Significant ballast reduction reduces weight to less than 3 Pounds per Square foot (PSF). With a simple 4 page installation guide, one tool, and 6 components, installation has never been faster or easier. Time trials have proven that RapidRac is being installed at 1kW per man hour.

The RapidRac system, which has been installed at multiple commercial sites, provides installers with the freedom and flexibility to use most PV modules. The versatility of the design allows it to meet most weight, height and a broad range of wind condition requirements. In addition, the RapidRac system has been designed to meet current ASCE 7-05 building codes, allowing for speedy approvals and ease of permitting.

The RapidRac system was developed using significant computational fluid dynamics and wind tunnel engineering. The efficient design, built at a fixed 10 degree tilt angle, optimizes natural convective cooling of the modules. The RapidRac system can be installed in a variety of configurations, and by using different design features, can be installed with minimal or no penetrations.

RapidRac is accompanied by a technical support system that provides complete installation and code compliance documentation for quick permitting, an on-line estimator, custom design assistance, and field support for large projects. Unirac provides installers with complete solutions and has committed their business to innovation, leadership and working closely with partners in the PV mounting industry.

The newly improved RapidRac G10 includes a standard 10-year warranty and is available for purchase immediately.
