AWARD FOR UK'S LARGEST RENEWABLES SHOW

All-Energy, the UK's largest renewable energy exhibition and conference has won the Renewable Energy Award in the Northern Star Business Awards, run annually by Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce.

Last night (25 September) All-Energy, the UK's largest renewable energy exhibition and conference was presented with the Renewable Energy Award in the Northern Star Business Awards, run annually by Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce. The award is made to the company that 'has been most successful in developing and securing new business by market penetration or order value'.

"We are delighted to have won this award, presented at what I believe is the largest Chamber of Commerce dinner in the UK. It is a real feather in the cap of an exhibition and conference to be considered so much an integral part of the industry it serves that it can win a market sector award," said a delighted Paul Stott, managing director of Media Generation Events who organise All-Energy in partnership with Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre.

"All-Energy was one of three finalists in the Renewable Energy Award category sponsored by Aberdeen Renewable Energy Group (AREG) - this is the fifth time the prize has been awarded. We would like to thank the Chamber of Commerce and the judges for their decision, and look forward to remaining an integral part of the international renewable energy industry and playing a key role in Aberdeen's calendar of events for many years to come. Earlier this summer All-Energy was a runner-up in the Advocate Category in the British Renewable Energy Awards (having been short listed in 2007), so it was marvellous to finally be a winner!"

The next show, the ninth in the series, will be held 20-21 May 2009 at Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre. Booking is well ahead of any previous show with 2500m2 already booked or reserved on the floorplan, which can be found at www.all-energy.co.uk. "Renewable energy is vital globally as countries all around the world adopt it to ensure security of supply and to reach low carbon targets," says Paul Stott. "We are proud to play such a leading role both through our annual exhibition and our free emailed newsletter that reaches 15,000 individuals every fortnight."

The annual trade show was launched in 2001 and has seen consistent growth over the years both in terms of attendance figures, exhibitors and number of speakers. The 2008 show attracted 4700 from 61 countries (including Inward Missions from 27 countries), over 380 exhibiting companies from a dozen countries and some 220 speakers from home and overseas.
