EnerWorks announced today the winners of two new employee awards, one of which is named in honour of founder Mike Noble. The Mike Noble Award was presented to David Thomson, Production Supervisor, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to EnerWorks over the past year.

"In naming the award after Mike," says Dr. Phil Whiting, EnerWorks President and CEO, "our intention is to recognize the entrepreneurial qualities and outstanding commitment that are so key to a company experiencing the exponential growth we've seen in the past year. Dave has personified those qualities, going above and beyond and applying new and innovative ideas to his work. We would not have accomplished all that we did in 2008 without Dave as part of our team."

Among the projects that Thomson has been a part of was the streamlining of production processes to allow faster and more efficient turnaround on large orders, such as the 640 collectors installed late last year at Fletcher Business Park in North Carolina.

"I'm overwhelmed to be the first recipient of this new annual award," says Thomson. "It has been a tremendous year of change and growth, and we've all worked together to make it a success. I'm proud to be a part of such a fabulous team."

"Founding EnerWorks ten years ago, it was always my vision to see the company get to this point," says Noble. "It's great to see solar water heating make such a difference for the environment, while helping people and businesses save money. I am honoured that the company saw fit to name this award after me, and thrilled that Dave was the first recipient."

A second award, "The President's Club Award", was presented to Doug Kless, Director of Business Development, SE USA as the top performing sales representative. Kless's efforts represented approximately one-third of EnerWorks's total revenue for 2008.

"Doug is outstanding at bringing the benefits of our technology to key project partners and distributors in a wide variety of applications," says Tony Ali, VP Sales and Marketing. "His efforts this past year resulted in new partnerships, new distribution relationships and some huge, high profile projects - some complete and many more in the pipeline!"

"Doug has built exciting relationships for EnerWorks across the southern parts of the United States," adds Whiting. "He is the prototypical channel builder; no one cares more about a customer, and our partners just love to work with him. Because of this, we now have strong channel partners in North Carolina, Arizona and California, to name just a few - and with more to come this year."

Echoing Thomson's comments, Kless says, "I'm so motivated by the team we have, from the factory floor to the leadership and all parts in between. The commitment and dedication that all display simply inspire me to do my part."
