Iskra Wind Turbines launches today its new company brand - Evance, and announces four new European resellers.

The rebrand to Evance - an amalgamation of 'energy' and 'advance' - has been developed to provide a communications platform that will support the company's aggressive expansion into international markets, and clearly position it as one of the world's leading manufacturers of small wind turbines.

Evance has appointed four new resellers to sell its new Evance Iskra R9000 5kW wind turbine. Launched today, more information about the new turbine can be found at www.evancewind.com.

The four new resellers are:
Scotland - Shetland Wind Power - www.shetlandwindpower.co.uk
Poland - Slawinski - www.sltd.pl
Germany - ASP Energie Technik - www.asp-nf.de
Northern Ireland/Ireland - Regen - www.regenpower.co.uk

The new reseller appointments are part of an on-going expansion of the Evance international customer support network. The company expects to export 50% of its production over the next 12 months.

Commenting on the new brand and the reseller appointments, Evance CEO, Pete Allen said;
"Today's announcements bring together a unique combination of a new turbine, a brand platform to support international expansion and highly professional resellers. This really is a winning combination that will keep Evance at the forefront of small wind market and confirms our unrivalled technology, quality and commercial professionalism."

Notes to editors:
Evance is a supplier of renewable energy systems. It makes an advanced wind turbine (ISKRA R9000) for the 'small wind' market - for example, for homes, schools, and farms (as opposed to the 'big wind' market of commercial wind farms or roof mounted turbines - micro wind).

Kipp & Zonen - DustIQ the novel soiling monitoring solution for solar panels

Soiling of the panel glass is one of the major problems in the rapidly expanding solar energy market, with the attendant loss of efficiency and reduction in performance ratios. Now, there's a new, simple and very cost-effective alternative. Based on Kipp & Zonen's unique Optical Soiling Measurement (OSM) technology, DustIQ can be easily added to new or existing solar arrays and integrated into plant management systems. The unit is mounted to the frame of a PV panel and does not need sunlight to operate. It continuously measures the transmission loss through glass caused by soiling, so that the reduction in light reaching the solar cells can be calculated.
