Carolina Environmental GroupInc (CEG) announces that it has been awarded a project of installing its patented biogas technology at the several landfill sites in Alameda and San Francisco Counties in the State of California. The project aims to facilitate the production of biogas and its use to produce energy from the landfills. To meet the project objectives, CEG expects to hire 22 field technicians and five supervisors in the near future.

This waste is broken down by the action of bacteria in anaerobic conditions (lacking in oxygen) resulting in the evolution of biogas or landfill gas consisting mainly of methane and carbon dioxide. With its path breaking technological innovation, which the Carolina Environmental Group got patented, it is possible to increase the efficiency of production and utilization of the biogas from these sites.
