OPEL Solar, Inc. Expands North American Manufacturing

Supports United States and Canadian Local Content Requirements

Shelton, CT and Toronto, ON, April 28, 2010 - OPEL Solar, Inc., a leading global developer and

supplier of high concentration photovoltaic ("HCPV") solar panels and other solar products, including ground-based and rooftop tracker systems, today announced it is qualifying a number of manufacturing companies to build its product line in North America. Company officials say the manufacture of its HCPV panels and tracker products, with the support of local industry in the United States and Canada, will not only ensure expeditious and cost-effective delivery of North American orders, but contribute to the growth of jobs and the green economy.

Company officials said that manufacturing in both Canada and the United States exemplifies OPEL
Solar's innovative abilities to help its customers apply for the solar incentives available that require Ontario or U.S. job content for some portion of a project. For example, with the Ontario feed-in tariff recently implemented, OPEL Solar is compliant and is ready to start on utility scale projects with primary suppliers aligned.

"The manufacture of OPEL Solar's products in North America creates jobs and brings the ‘green
economy' to life," said Francisco Middleton, COO of OPEL Solar, Inc. "With so many industries declining recently, solar power represents a bright spot with potential for significant growth for many years to come. OPEL Solar has been responsive to our customers and the solar market by being agile
and ready for local content requirements that benefit economies," Middleton added.

"On the ‘Greening of North America,' we at OPEL Solar are very happy to work with local suppliers to
provide for in-country manufacturing content," said Ed Linke, Director of Mechanical Engineering for
OPEL Solar, Inc. "Working with a local company has many advantages, especially for the development
and manufacturing of our products. We have challenged each supplier on price, quality, and delivery; and they are meeting that challenge."

OPEL Solar is qualifying U.S. manufacturers in nine states across the country. In Canada, the Company is ready with a number of suppliers in the Toronto area.

SolarEdge Technologies - EV Charging Single Phase Inverter

The SolarEdge PV inverter combines sophisticated digital control technology with efficient power SolarEdge's EV charging single phase inverter offers homeowners the ability to charge electric vehicles up to six times faster than a standard Level 1 charger through an innovative solar boost mode that utilizes grid and PV charging simultaneously. This product is the world's first EV charger with an integrated PV inverter. Reducing the hassle of installing separately a standalone EV charger and a PV inverter, the EV charging inverter eliminates the need for additional wiring, conduit and a breaker installation. By installing an EV charger that is integrated with an inverter, no additional dedicated circuit breaker is needed, saving space and ruling out a potential upgrade to the main distribution panel. Whether you own an EV now or just want to be EV-ready, future-proof your home with SolarEdge.
