Comdel's Arc Detect Fast Shutdown Minimizes Arc Damage

Comdel's new Arc Detect Fast Shutdown option allows for automatic fast shutdown of the RF during an arc condition to minimize damage on end user tooling and product, improving product yield while protecting process equipment.

Gloucester, Massachusetts, December 2, 2010 - Comdel, Inc., leading supplier of RF and DC power supplies and process instruments to the semiconductor and photovoltaic industries, offers a new Arc Detect Fast Shutdown option which provides shutdown of the RF to minimize arc damage. It is an integrated system that works within the matching network and power supply. Latching fast shutdown located in the power supply interfaces with the arc detect circuit in the matching network. This system allows for automatic fast shutdown of the RF during an arc condition to minimize damage on end user tooling and product, improving product yield while protecting process equipment. It provides ultra fast shutdown in less than 1.5 microseconds. The Arc Detect Fast Shutdown option is available on all Comdel CPMX matching networks and CX power supplies.
