Spider9 Energy Storage System Awarded Certification to UL Standards

TÜV awards Spider9 certification to UL 1741 standard for its TriRack family of modular energy storage solutions

December 09, 2014

Spider9, an advanced energy storage and controls company, announced today the receipt of certification to UL 1741 standards for the company's TriRack family of modular stationary energy storage products. The certification, which was completed by TÜV SÜD America, represents the first for a system featuring Spider9's proprietary software and controls.

Spider9's energy storage systems feature a unique structural design and Spider9's patented Energy Operating System (OSE) software and controls platform, which together allow for cell-level monitoring and optimization along with other advanced performance and safety features.

"The OSE controls and TriRack design are truly unique concepts in the growing market for energy storage systems, being specifically optimized for stationary applications as opposed to using repurposed electric vehicle technologies and designs," said Spider9 Chief Operating Officer David Park. "We see the certification to UL standards as a significant step in our goal to establish Spider9 as the performance leader within the stationary energy storage system market."
