PROINSO launches a tool enabling its Network of Qualified Installers to create customized catalogues
The Spanish multinational company PROINSO has launched in Italy the first version of SIGMA solar, a new online tool that allows its network of qualified installers to create customized catalogues in accordance with the manufacturer´s datasheet.
With SIGMA Solar, the 450 qualified installers from PROINSO in Italy can create a PDF free of charge and in a very intuitive, fast and flexible way (depending on the needs of the installer) their own catalogues, fully customized with their logo and images of their own facilities. This service is free for members of the PROINSO IQ Network in Italy and will also shortly be extended to the markets of the 1,116 qualified installers PROINSO have throughout the world, mainly Germany, France, Greece and USA, among others.
The product Database used to create the PDF catalogue is constantly updated with the datasheets supplied by the manufacturers in each country. This database consists of product brands normally distributed by PROINSO, such as Trina and REC in the section on modules, SMA in the inverter section and MECASOLAR in fixed structures and trackers. In each market it is possible to introduce new brands of complementary products thus enabling the Qualified Installer to create their own catalogue.
PROINSO initially launched SIGMA Solar onto the Italian market and within two months it is expected that the tool will be accessible to the entire network, which currently has 1,116 qualified installers around the world. Thus, the tool is adjusted according to the language and characteristics of each market, as manufacturers have specific products in some cases.
Five easy steps

First, the catalogue front cover and back cover are designed with the logo of the Installer and even client data and their corporate image. Personalized photos of the facilities the qualified installer wishes to show can also be added. Then- from a constantly updated database and for each country, the products that the installer wants to display in their customized catalogue are chosen.
The third step allows the installer to add to the product the additional information they so desire: prices, other specifications, stock availability, product reviews, etc. Then they can insert their own ad in the catalogue and in the fifth and final step, the installer can now download the catalogue in PDF format. This PDF can then be sent to the customer.
Competitive advantages for PROINSO and Added Value for Qualified Installers
This tool was presented at the ENERSOLAR 2010 fair in Milan and, since last November, more than 120 installers are using it regularly to make customized catalogs.
For PROINSO this means a clear competitive advantage over its competitors worldwide, since no other distribution company is doing this with their regular customers and, for qualified installers, a differentiating added value for network members, regardless of the volume of purchases they make
