Evergreen Solar Extends Materials & Workmanship Warranty to 10 Years

Warranty doubles the existing 5 year warranty on ES-A and ES-E series panels.

Evergreen Solar, Inc. (NasdaqGM: ESLR), a manufacturer of String Ribbon(R) solar panels with its proprietary silicon wafer technology, today announced it will extend its Materials & Workmanship Warranty on its ES-A and ES-E solar panels to 10 years. The new warranty doubles the existing five-year warranty and is valid for first end-user purchases of both the ES-A and ES-E products on or after January 1, 2011.


The warranty extension comes as a result of a successful quality improvement program that was first implemented by Evergreen Solar more than two years ago. The quality improvement initiative incorporates a reliability improvement program designed to address all aspects of our product life cycle by implementing more robust product safety, reliability monitoring and supplier quality management programs.

Many 1.5 MW wind turbines use traditional open-loop water/glycol cooling systems.
