Corvus Energy Charges Chief Strategy Officer Joe Vosburgh to Expand Industrial Lithium Technology

Vosburgh will focus on market and product development and global business development strategies for Corvus in the marine, energy, transportation and heavy industry sectors.

Corvus Energy, the Richmond-based manufacturer of the world's most powerful lithium-ion industrial batteries, announced today that Joe Vosburgh will join its team as Chief Strategy Officer.


Founded in 2009, Corvus is focused on transforming the marine, transportation and commercial energy storage industries with its release of an advanced lithium-ion battery technology that is able to store and distribute energy in megawatt sizes and has the capacity to output sustained power comparable to diesel engines in hybrid and full-electric vessels and industrial machinery. This month, Corvus was awarded the prestigious CME/IRAP 2010 Innovation Award for new technology, as well as received recognition from the Richmond Chamber of Commerce as the New Business of the Year.

Vosburgh brings more than 15 years of experience to Corvus in development, marketing and commercialization of breakthrough technologies. He previously held senior product strategy and leadership positions with Creo, Chancery Software, Ballard Power Systems and Ikona Gear International. He holds an MBA in marketing and accounting from Queen's University (1995) and an Engineering Degree from the University of Victoria (1993), both with honors distinction.
