A Power Purchase Agreement Provides the Means for the Installation

Paramus, NJ - March 21, 2011 - Pfister Energy, a provider and installer of renewable energy power generation systems for commercial, industrial and institutional facilities, today announced that it has completed the installation of a solar photovoltaic system on the roof of the Bergen County Prosecutor's office in Paramus, New Jersey.

The 115.92 kW (DC) system (comprised of 504 Trina Solar 230-watt photovoltaic modules mounted to a SunLink ballasted racking system) was installed at no cost to Bergen County through a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) and is estimated to generate 129,343 kWh of energy annually. Under the PPA arrangement, SunLight General Capital owns, operates and maintains the solar system for the County, selling the renewable electricity to them at a discounted rate, and a secure, fixed rate of escalation.

Over the term of the 15-year PPA, the system will generate 1,842,657 kWh of energy and provide taxpayers with over $200,000 in energy savings (based on conservative projections of increasing utility power rates). The system also will yield pollution offsets equivalent to deterring an estimated 2.5 million lbs. of carbon emissions, saving 2,700 barrels of oil, or taking 252 passenger vehicles off the road.

The Prosecutor's Office project is one of two solar installations awarded to Pfister Energy and SunLight General Capital by Bergen County in 2010. Pfister Energy is currently installing the second photovoltaic system - a larger 627.900 kW (DC) array affixed to a custom overhead structural steel canopy -on the parking deck located at One Bergen County Plaza in Hackensack. Once both projects are complete, the systems will together generate an estimated 845,277 kWh energy annually.
