DEGERenergie increases commitment in India - Cooperation with Reliance Industries Ltd. expanded

DEGERenergie expands its cooperation with Indian solar park operator Reliance Industries Ltd.. To obtain reference values for comparison with its rigid solar modules, Reliance is currently testing six DEGERtraker 5000HD systems. DEGERenergie is the global market leader for solar tracking systems.

Reliance Industries Ltd. is one of the largest companies on the Indian subcontinent. The company's solar department among other things operates a 5 megawatt solar park in the state of Rajasthan, where only rigid systems have been in use up to now. Now, the company has set up six DEGERtraker systems of the type 5000HD at the same site. The objective of the pilot project is to compare the yield of the patented German MLD technology with the existing rigid solar modules.

DEGERenergie has been active on the Indian market for years. It has already installed several systems on the subcontinent and maintains good business contacts with Indian companies, thanks to trade fair presence and regular customer visits. With Reliance, the Horb-based company has established a long-term business relationship based on trust. Recently, the Indian operator has decided to put DEGERenergie's systems to the test at their Rajasthan location while at the same time obtaining reliable measured values to base their decision on future investments in solar technology on.

The patented DEGERenergie Maximum Light Detection (MLD) technology makes it possible to improve the energy yield of solar power plants by up to 45 percent compared to rigid systems.

DEGERenergie was founded in 1999 by Artur Deger and today is the world market leader in solar tracking systems. Worldwide, more than 35,000 DEGERenergie systems are installed in over 40 countries. The company is represented in Spain, Greece and North America with its own subsidiaries and cooperates with local distribution and service partners in many countries across the world.

Dynapower - MAXIMIZE PRODUCTION AND REVENUES WITH SOLAR PLUS STORAGE

The addition of energy storage to an existing or new utility-scale PV installation allows system owners and operators the opportunity to capture additional revenues. Traditional storage plus solar applications have involved the coupling of independent storage and PV inverters at an AC bus or the use of multi-input hybrid inverters. An alternative approach - coupling energy storage to PV arrays with a DC-to-DC converter - can help maximize production and profits for existing and new utility-scale installations. DC-Coupled Utility-Scale Solar Plus Storage leads to higher round-trip efficiencies and lower cost of integration with existing PV arrays and at the same time, opens up new revenue streams not possible with traditional AC-coupled storage, including clipping recapture and low voltage harvesting, while being eligible for valuable tax incentives.
