WHAT: The sixth annual Ocean Renewable Energy Conference hosted by Oregon Wave Energy Trust (OWET) will focus on where we are - and what we need to do - to responsibly accelerate the development of the wave energy industry and realize its full economic and environmental potential in Oregon, nationally and internationally.

WHY: The world has changed significantly. Natural disasters, rising costs and public sentiment have raised awareness of the urgent need to develop new sources of clean, renewable energy. With the spotlight on renewable and wave energy worldwide, the sixth annual Ocean Renewable Energy Conference promises to be its most interesting, informative and important conference to date.

WHO: This year's conference will bring together renewable and ocean energy leaders and stakeholders representing the full spectrum of wave energy project development to continue the conversation about how we responsibly develop the emerging wave energy industry. Attendees include: project developers, coastal community leaders, utilities, academia, state and federal regulators, researchers and others.
