EnterSolar Completes Second Solar Power Project for Dykes Lumber Company

Dykes' Weehawken and Aberdeen NJ facilities are now powered by 552kW of Solar Energy

NEWARK, New Jersey, December 8, 2011 -- EnterSolar, a leading provider of commercial solar systems to corporate customers, today announced the completion of a 192.5 kilowatt (kW) solar photovoltaic (PV) system for Dykes Lumber Company (Dykes), a privately-held lumber and building materials company serving the New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania markets. The solar PV system was installed on the roof of the new Dykes Lumber facility located in Aberdeen, New Jersey. This is the second solar project that EnterSolar has completed for Dykes, following the 360kW installation at the Dykes facility in Weehawken, New Jersey.

"Our latest solar project in Aberdeen reflects Dykes Lumber's continued commitment to environmental sustainability," said Charles Kreyer, President of Dykes Lumber. "We are now able to generate clean solar energy to satisfy almost all of our annual electricity requirements for both the Aberdeen and Weehawken facilities."

EnterSolar provided Dykes Aberdeen with a turnkey solar photovoltaic system which will produce over 200,000 kilowatt hours (kWh) of energy annually and more than five million kWh over the next 25 years. That is enough energy to power more than 25 average U.S. homes every year. The environmental benefits associated with the system will offset more than 6 million pounds of carbon dioxide over the initial 25 years of operation.

"We are excited to announce the completion of the Dykes Aberdeen solar project," said Paul Ahern, President of EnterSolar. "Dykes was able to effectively utilize a number of available renewable energy incentives, including the U.S. Treasury Section 1603 Grant Program and the JCP&L SREC-Based Financing Program, while also taking advantage of special Bonus Depreciation benefits for solar projects."

Vecoplan - Planning and implementation of complete processing plants in refuse derived fuel production

In order to reduce the costs involved in the energy-intensive production of cement, many manufacturers are turning to refuse-derived fuels (RDF), considerably reducing the proportion of expensive primary fuels they would normally use. Solid fuels are being increasingly used - these might be used tyres, waste wood or mixtures of plastics, paper, composite materials and textiles. Vecoplan provides operators of cement plants with proven and robust components for conveying the material and separating iron and impurities, efficient receiving stations, storage systems and, of course, efficient shredders for an output in various qualities.
