"Danotek Receives Order for Electro Hydraulic Steering System Units from Electric Vehicles International"

Been awarded a blanket purchase order from Electric Vehicles International (EVI) for the supply of electro hydraulic steering system units for a fleet of walk-in delivery trucks being supplied to United Parcel Service (UPS), for deployment in California this year.

CANTON, MI (February 21, 2012) — Danotek Motion Technologies (Danotek), a developer and manufacturer of highly efficient and reliable permanent magnet (PM) rotating equipment for the global wind energy, distributed generation, and electric vehicle markets, has been awarded a blanket purchase order from Electric Vehicles International (EVI) for the supply of electro hydraulic steering system units for a fleet of walk-in delivery trucks being supplied to United Parcel Service (UPS), for deployment in California this year.

Stockton, CA based EVI, is a leading manufacturer of alternative energy vehicles specializing in battery electric vehicles (BEV) and range extended electric vehicles (REEV) for multiple applications covering a diverse range of transportation options.

"At EVI, our goal is to deliver the cleanest, most efficient and reliable vehicle to our customers' fleets," commented Ricky Hanna, President and Chief Executive Officer. "The UPS delivery truck program's test phase confirmed the performance of Danotek's systems. We anticipate this being the first of many potential opportunities for the application of Danotek's permanent magnet power steering pump technology to EVI's electric vehicle programs."

Danotek's Series 6200 Electro Hydraulic Power Steering Pump is an integrated variable speed pump that uses innovative control electronics and high efficiency brushless motor coupled with a rugged high pressure gear pump. The Series 6200, which utilizes Danotek's patented permanent magnet technology, is targeted towards mobile and transportation sectors for light truck steering, utility, farm and earth moving hydraulic equipment as well as various industrial applications. It has built-in diagnostics, fault tolerance and limp home capability.

Danotek's Senior Program Manager, Greg Bac said, "EVI is building great momentum in the marketplace with the excellent performance of their vehicles. We are thrilled to be their supplier of choice for one of the world's largest deployments of commercial all-electric vehicles.
