SHANGHAI--Among the newly-encouraged energy resources listed in the Catalogue of Industry Structure Adjustment（2011 Version）issued by China's National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) on June 1st, 2011, solar thermal power was given high priority. In addition, according to the forthcoming China's 12th Five-Year Plan (2011-2015) on Renewable Energy Development, the anticipated installed capacity of solar thermal power by 2015 is 1 million KW while that by 2020 is 3 million KW.

Against this background, the 2nd Annual China Concentrating Solar Power Summit 2012 will again be convened on June 28-29 in Beijing, China.
