Cyclone Power Technologies Signs Two-Time NHRA Champion, Nelson Hoyos, to Lead its Land Speed Record Team

Hoyos will serve as Director of Development for the company's LSR car and performance division, known as TeamSteamUSA

Pompano Beach, FL, March 26, 2012. Cyclone Power Technologies (OTCQB: CYPW) developer of the all-fuel, clean-tech Cyclone Engine, announced today that it has signed two-time NHRA PRO-FWD Champion and Bonneville veteran, Nelson Hoyos, to lead the Company's effort to claim the land speed record (LSR) for steam powered vehicles. Hoyos will serve as Director of Development for the company's LSR car and performance division, known as TeamSteamUSA, as well as oversee its management, marketing and sponsorship activities.

Hoyos, a two-time NHRA Champion and Turbo Magazine "Driver of the Year," has been involved in the development, racing and business aspects of motorsports for over 30 years. He has been instrumental in leading high profile multi-million dollar race teams and marketing programs for the U.S. Navy, Ford and Chevrolet Racing Divisions. As factory driver and engine technologies advisor, Hoyos has set numerous drag racing records for Ford and Chevy, and set a land speed record at Bonneville in excess of 243 mph for the GM Performance/Chevrolet division. Hoyos founded and currently runs the Driven2Win Drag Racing School in Florida.

Cyclone's alliance with Hoyos is a major development for the Company. Not only does he bring the knowledge, experience and proven track record to build a winning LSR team, but also strong and established contacts with renowned technology firms which can help advance the performance of the Cyclone Engines. Moreover, Hoyos' leadership in building Cyclone's new Bonneville-compliant LSR chassis and body, and his hands-on participation in engine and drivetrain integration, are expected to provide Cyclone with the extra manpower needed to pursue this project without detracting from the Company's focus on customer contracts, including Raytheon, the U.S. Army and Phoenix Power.

Harry Schoell, Cyclone's Chairman and CEO, commented: "Demonstrating the power and environmental attributes of our technology through a highly visible LSR effort has always been an important project for Cyclone. Until the addition of Nelson, however, we felt it lacked the solid direction needed to provide the best chance of success. We're extremely pleased that Nelson will now be leading TeamSteamUSA, and we whole heartedly welcome him to the family. We wish Chuk Williams well in his future endeavors."

Nelson Hoyos commented: "I'm honored to become part of the Cyclone Power Technologies family. Cyclone Engines represent a leap forward in mobile power generation because their ability to run on virtually any fuel source. This company is truly dedicated to developing technologies that will have a huge beneficial impact on our environment, and I want to be part of that effort."

"I have driven fast cars and led race teams to victory most of my life," continued Hoyos. "Now I've been given the opportunity to create a performance division dedicated to both showcasing and advancing the Cyclone Engine's powerful, safe and efficient use in automotive applications. I'm confident that TeamSteamUSA will be able to demonstrate these attributes to the world by breaking land speed records with a truly green engine."
