REFUsol, Inc. high efficiency solar photovoltaic string inverters are listed on the New York Standard Interconnection Requirements (SIR) List

REFUsol Inverters in the power classes 12, 16, 20 and 24kW are transformerless, and have a CEC*-rated efficiency between 97.5 and 98%.

SAN JOSE, Calif. – April 2, 2012 – REFUsol, Inc., a world leading manufacturer of high efficiency solar inverters, today announced that the REFUsol 012K, 016K, 020K and 024K inverters are in compliance with the New York Standard Interconnection Requirements (SIR) and qualify for the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority's (NYSERDA) funding programs.

Under the Department of Public Service (DPS) for interconnection, the DPS collaborative standardizes and streamlines interconnection requirements for inverters within their Standardization Working Group. The Working Group prepared a report, Standard Interconnection Requirements (SIR), for inverters rated less than 300 kVA. REFUsol inverters were tested by Underwriters Laboratory (UL) and the design has been accepted and certified for all New York State utilities.

In January, NYSERDA and the Public Safety Service Commission (PSC) awarded $30 million to help fund large-scale solar projects that will assist facilities in New York City and lower Hudson Valley in generating electricity for their own use. REFUsol will look to partner with the solar installers and developers that have been awarded funds in order to promote the growth of solar energy in New York.

"Our compliance with New York SIR and qualifying for the programs in New York that encourage renewable energy development raises REFUsol's profile in the Northeastern US" said Alan Beale, Director of Sales and Marketing, REFUsol, Inc. "We are looking forward to more installations in this very important market."
