After one year's preparation, including a busy procedure of organizing, designing and advertising, the world's largest PV show, SNEC 6th (2012) International Photovoltaic Power Generation Conference & Exhibition {SNEC(2012) PV Power Expo}, will be finally unveiled on May 16, 2012 at Shanghai New International Expo Centre. The three-day event has once again broken records with 2,200 exhibitors from five continents displaying their latest products in the 200,000 square meter exhibition space.

The gorgeous lineup of exhibitors, experts, and various activities has made the expo a photovoltaic feast and a platform for the world most authoritative PV experts and industry entrepreneurs gathering together and having close conversation.

Exhibitors include the global PV giants and well-known enterprises, such as Suntech Power, Yingli Green Energy, GCL, JA Solar, LDK Solar, REC, SMA, Hanwha-SolarOne, OCI, Dupont etc, to name only a few of them. Suntech will showcase the brilliant "Pluto" technology; Yingli will shine with the World Cup Trophy; Trina will bring their new "HONEY" solar PV panels; SMA will introduce her sister enterprises to public; and Dupont will tell the industry their latest achievements.

About expert team, one of the keynote speakers at the conference will be Prof. Martin Green, the Executive Research Director of the ARC Photovoltaics Center of Excellence at the University of New South Wales in Australia. Mr. Green has been called "the father of modern photovoltaics". Other speakers include Reinhold Buttgereit, Secretary-General of European Photovoltaic Industry Association (EPIA); Rhone A. Resch, Chairman and CEO of the Solar Industry Association (SEIA); Dr. Charles Gay, President of Applied Solar and Applied Materials, Inc.; Co-founder of Greenstar Foundation; and Prof. Makoto Konagai, Chairman of the Japan Solar Energy Society and professor of the Tokyo Institute of Technology.

The PV conference consists of eight sessions: Keynote Speeches-Advanced PV Technologies, Solar Leaders Dialogue, CEO&CTO Panel, Thin-film Cells, Silicon Materials, Crystalline Silicon Solar Cells and Auxiliary Materials, PV System and Smart Grid Technologies, Equipment and Manufacturing Automation, and PV Market Analysis & Overseas Investment. Side-events include: How to Do Business in the US, Sino-German Cooperation Workshop on Photovoltaics, Workshop on Science & Technology to Address Climate Change, China Cross-Strait Workshop on Million Solar Roofs Initiative, Seminar on Solar Technology and Experience for China and Nordic Country and Press Conference on Unscrambling of the US Anti-dumping Tariff.
