SiG Solar LUX Sheds Light upon the LED Market
Innovation at Intersolar: Sales specialist SiG Solar opens up new business field and presents LED lights of the future generation for the first time
The northern German group SiG Solar is expanding its sales division into the market of the future, LED lighting. The new business field SiG Solar LUX is selling, effective immediately, energy-saving light solutions for interior and street lighting with a technology patented world-wide. From 13 to 15 June, SiG Solar Group will be presenting its LED products at Intersolar Europe in Munich, Germany, for the first time.
"As we expand our business sector, we have remained faithful to our philosophy – to promote and distribute energy-efficient technologies", says Jan-Christian Schröder, general manager of SiG Solar GmbH. "Particularly for lighting, itself responsible for around 20 per cent of worldwide energy consumption, LED technologies can be used to save important resources. With our LED products we deliver flexible and individual solutions for local municipalities as well as the trade, service providers and the industry."
Lighting solutions for inside and out
To produce its fluorescent tubes for interior lighting, SiG Solar LUX has been cooperating with a high-quality manufacturer from Germany. Under the brand name DK LED by SiG Solar, SiG Solar LUX is selling the LED lamps and LED tubes exclusively to electronics wholesalers and installers in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy. In comparison to conventional fluorescent tubes, the LED lights save up to 80 per cent of energy costs. They have a lifetime of 50,000 hours, are free of maintenance, dimmable and, on account of to their plastic housing, nearly unbreakable.
The products under the brand name LOLA by SiG Solar are the first LED street lighting worldwide with patented design and patented reflection technology. The lights use the entire scattering of the LED (even the lateral scattering) and project it evenly on the street. Energy losses and glare are, thus, avoided. Thanks to the reflection, operators can enjoy energy savings of up to 65 per cent in comparison to conventional street lamps. Furthermore, the bright, white light of the LED lamps provides all those involved in traffic with better visibility as compared lamps using yellow-shaded light bulbs.
