PowerWind sells five wind turbines to Great Britain and Poland

Important step for successful restructuring

Hamburg, June 12, 2012 – German wind turbine manufacturer PowerWind GmbH has sold five wind turbines to Great Britain and Poland. The closure of delivery contracts with three new customers is another success in the restructuring process initiated at the beginning of May. During the past weeks, PowerWind and important suppliers have agreed upon continuing their cooperation which has lasted for many years now.

Polish customer El. Wiatrowa Wola Raciborowska has ordered two turbines of the type PowerWind 56 with 900 kW rated power. Their installation in Kutno (Raciborow) is scheduled for Q3 2012.

Moreover, three PowerWind 500 turbines with 500 kW rated power are to be installed in Great Britain by the end of September. Two of the three wind turbines have been sold to project developer Temporis Wind. The third turbine will go to Resilient Energy Great Dunkilns plc, a JV community development in the Forest of Dean between The Resilience Centre and local landowner Anthony Cooke.

A decisive factor for the purchase decision was not only the high quality of the PowerWind products, but also that customers are confident that PowerWind will complete their restructuring process successfully.

"We remain extremely positive about the PowerWind technology and look forward to developing a long-term relationship with the company," said Harry Bond, Partner of Temporis Wind.

"The PowerWind 500 is an ideal product for community wind projects in Great Britain assembled from the highest quality components. We are already negotiating further projects for 2012 and 2013," said Andrew Clarke, Director of Resilient Energy Great Dunkilns plc.
