The photovoltaic industry in India is making headway in the renewable energy scenario at a fast pace with a continuous growth in the amount of commissioned projects. Recent reports estimate that by 2022, the total PV installed capacity in India might achieve 33.4 GW. However, the market is still young and faces various challenges including the high capital cost of solar PV, which is the main reason why the industry still needs further external incentives to be economically feasible.

The PV Project Development Summit India 2012 taking place on the 30-31st of July at the Leela Kempinski Hotel in New Delhi; will bring together government officials, international and local developers, EPC's, manufacturers, suppliers, financial institutions and many other industry experts throughout the PV industry to discuss the roadblocks faced in the financing process, technology selection, construction and operation of utility scale PV plants.

Headlining the conference will be a series of detailed case studies, interactive panel sessions and extended industry discussions; providing delegates with a strategy to achieve competitiveness and industry sustainability; through the expertise from government officials, leading developers, utilities perspectives, international technology experts and members of the entire supply chain in India, all in one place.
